Select from several choices in pulldown menus for Activity factors, Injury factors and Amputation adjustments or enter your own values and SAVE as a single number or
range. Displays Kcal, Protein, Fluid, BMI (flagged as underweight, desirable, overweight and obese), DBW, DBW Range, %DBW and %Weight change.
Input in both English & Metric units.
Pediatric Assessment- Ages 0-36 months and 2-20 yrs.
Determine Calories, Protein and Fluid needs and BMI. Mathematically
calculates percentiles from June 2000 CDC Growth Chart you select. Or input
percentile and it will provide corresponding data. When BMI for Age selected,
identifies risk levels. Input in both English & Metric units. Enteral
program also includes some pediatric products.
Enteral
220+ Tubefeeding and oral supplements/modulars. Input kcal or volume (cc/hr
or total/day). Calculates Kcal, Total Volume, cc/hr, Fluid, % RDI or DV,
Carbohydrate, Protein, Fat, Fiber, Na+, K+, Mg++, P++, Ca++, Fe++ Osmolality,
and Non-protein kcals. Easily add or delete products from a user-customizable
database.
Parenteral
Determine total and non-protein kcal, percentages and total grams of
carbohydrate, protein, and fat as well as rate per hour, grams of protein
and fat per kg, CHO in mg/kg/minute, final concentration and osmolarity.
Conversions
Convert mg to mEq or mMol and vice versa for Na+, K+, Cl+, Mg++, P++,
and Ca++.
Meal Pattern (Diabetes)
Calculate meal pattern in exchange format. Easily adapted for Carbohydrate counting. Uses actual nutrient values
for several types of milk including soy. Display lists grams and percentages
of Carbohydrate, Protein and Fat.
Meal Pattern (Renal)
Calculate meal pattern for acute, chronic, hemodialysis, and peritoneal
dialysis with or without diabetes. Kcal, Protein, %HBV Protein, Na+, K+,
P++ displayed with pattern. Adapted from 1993 National Renal Diet with permission.
Hematologic Calculations
Calculates Transferrin, Mean Corpuscular Volume, Total Lymphocyte Count,
Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration.
Nitrogen Balance
Calculates Nitrogen Balance from Urinary Urea Nitrogen and Protein
Intake.

The Nutrition Rx program is available in two primary Operating System (OS) editions, as listed below. All Nutrition Rx editions exist on one CD.
However, each edition must be purchased separately.
The Nutrition Rx installation CD is designed to use your existing web browser (Internet Explorer 5.0 as a minimum);
just click a link to install the edition that fits your needs or view a particular User manual. The format is similar to this web
page.
NutritionRx for Windows Mobile® OS
This edition of Nutrition Rx supports two variations of Windows Mobile® devices: touch screen and non-touch screen configurations.
Microsoft terms non-touch screen devices as 'SmartPhone' or 'Standard' and touch screen devices as 'Classic' or 'Professional'. The
terms changed as Microsoft produced newer Windows Mobile versions.
All screen sizes are supported along with portrait and landscape modes.
Windows CE 5.1 Mobile 5 OS (SmartPhone & Classic)
Windows CE 5.2 Mobile 6 OS (Standard & Professional)
This includes such models as the Dell Axim, HP iPAQ, Toshiba, Viewsonic, Casio, Fujitsu, HTC,

This edition of Nutrition Rx is for any computer running Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, VISTA or 7.
